Key to Freedom

If you buy one thing this week, make it one of these printed silk scarves by Topshop made in conjunction with Key to Freedom, a charity project that works to support vulnerable women in West Bengal by providing them with new skills, safe houses and a support network.

Supporting those less fortunate than ourselves is always a good thing, but its made even better when the charitable purchase in question actually looks great and I think this project in particular manages to marry lovely design with a brilliant cause. I'm not a massive scarf person myself but these are big enough to use as a sarong on the beach and light enough to knot into a head scarf or turban (I actually feel a bit naked without something wrapped around my head on holiday right now).  Plus the beautiful Indian prints and tie-dye patterns are so summery and timeless I can see these becoming one of those failsafe things you throw in your suitcase year after year.

You can read more about Topshop's Key to Freedom project on the Topshop blog.

My personal favorites are the Pink Fern Print and Green Tie Dye.

Found

While my hunt for the perfect vintage Levis dungarees continues, these Topshop ones are a pretty good find to fill the void and I've already snapped them up just in case Spring ever decides to show its face here in London....

Get there here.

All that Glitters....

Boots and bag both Topshop.

I'm having a bad morning today-some horrible person stole my beautiful, vintage leather jacket last night when I was at a friend's birthday.  It's the thing I love the most in my wardrobe and people always said it's the nicest leather jacket they've ever seen.   Well, clearly someone with great taste thought so to and took what ain't there's.  My one comfort is that the pockets had totally worn through so fingers crossed they put their phone/wallet in the pocket only for it to fall out unawares....that's called Karma!

Grief stricken I'm going to have to replace it asap...Think I saw a great one in the Maje sale in Selfridges to might have to hit that after a couple of days mourning.

Acne-ites

The Acne aesthetic is forever covetable-all those relaxed shapes, easy lines and general sense of cool is a heady mix-and the sway of the Swedish brand hasn't been missed by Topshop.

Here are my Acne shorts with Topshop's take on Acne's pistol boots.  An ideal mix for those of us who want to be Acne, but most of the time head to Toppers...
