Sleepless

 

A little late but some Monday morning inspiration for the week.  So tired this evening after barely any sleep last night... Sunday nights are always the worst for sleepless nights.  Very much looking forward to a good night's sleep tonight after catching up on some guilty pleasure TV.

Seeing Bags

Had some time on my hands this weekend and started thinking about Christmas...or more precisely what I'll be asking Father Christmas for.  Top of my list is a really beautiful bag.  I like simple, roomy bags with minimal hardware and always black... These 4 are currently top of the list...decisions, decisions.

I had a great morning yesterday with Anouk from Creators of Desire (check out my guest blog for them here) and Matches boutique in Marylebone. My wish list after an hour of styling and shopping was ridiculous... I'll post the results of visit once they're up on Creators of Desire.

Essentials

As the queen of oversized bags the size of a small child, I've decided its time to try downscaling. I'll never be able to do the teeny tiny bag thing (too much essential junk I need to cart around), but this wash bag style Urban Outfitters clutch is just right.  Big enough for all my essentials while encouraging me to de-clutter...ideal. I love the tiny detail of the brown zipper too.

And the essentials? My Louis wallet, Diptique Vetyvero scent, Smythson notebook (with a very nice motto to live by on the front), ipod touch, Nars Laguna bronzer, YSL Touche Eclat, Lancome Mascara and the Marc Jacobs pendant I bought in Paris which is my bling of choice right now. Oh and if everything looks a bit grubby...well, it's probably because it is-my regular handbags are health hazards (hence the downscale!).

Snake

A feel-good outfit from last Friday...had some girls round for supper at mine and thought it was a good excuse to bring out the new heels and shirt I've yet to wear.  I haven't worn a court shoe in about 6 years but these Topshop ones had the edge (without the price tag) to tempt me to try a ladylike style again... Thought the shirt was a bit Essex at first but rapidly changed that to a bit Chloe and now love it.
