I'm a food lover.
Sugar addict.
Obsessed with Instagram.
Love the photography.
So when I hear words like patisserie and boulangerie my heart goes crazy. I can immediately imagine all the pastries and feel the smell from fresh baked breads. The second thought is always - does this scenery match to my photo greed on the Instagram? Yes, I know. It's not normal. I can't help myself. And I don't wanna.
But you can help me and here are some tips:
- hire a professional to make you a great bakery logo
-  in front of your place put some flowers, cute old bicycle, bench or something which can look great on the photo ;)
- fulfill the shelves, set the handwritten menu on the wall, some inspiring quote
- write a cute product tags
- and create some great packages!
After you do that, call me, I would love to try something and snap a photo of course! ;)

Weekend Update

New recipes, work lunches and faithful knitwear were all key components of this busier than busy weekend. Even more of you have been asking for recipes on here from my Instagram and I promise to get stuck in soon - these are just a few teasers right now but there are plans in motion to get some properly to you soon....

I ate | Homemade raw chocolate mousse (above) topped with crunchie bar and fruit was the first thing I tried out on Friday evening. Adapted from a Deliciously Ella recipe (I use cocoa powder rather than cacao powder for sweetness - its good enough already in my eyes), it's delicious, easy and I defy even the sweetest of teeth to turn their nose up at this guilt-free pudding. 2 bananas, 1 avocado, 6 medjool dates, 2 teaspoons of almond butter, 2 teaspoons of cocoa/cacao powder and a little water blended together (I use my Nutribullet) and that's it... You can add a little agave for sweetness or various milled seeds for some protein. Personally I'm not massively into protein in my pudding but whatever floats your boat.

I went | For a much need cut and colour with the talented Donald at Neville hair and beauty in Chelsea.  I had a good 3 inches chopped off which I know is the best thing for my hair but will take a little getting used to.... Donald, dubbed the 'king of blonde' in the beauty world, put some lighter, fresher tones through my hair which has been feeling a bit warm and brassy in colour of late. Now all I need is some UV rays to whiten-up the ends....

 The end result

I watched | Heard lots about Prisoners of late so we gave it a whirl. It had the makings of being a really great film, but ended up just a good film because of all the misleading plot twists that never tied up. If anyone can clear up the snakes in boxes with children's clothes I'd be very grateful...!
I also started Game of Thrones (late on this one I know) and am hooked already. Waving goodbye to my social life as we speak...

I went | I was treated to a delicious lunch at the home of Mandy Watkins, founder of Hush homewear. If you're already familiar with Hush, you probably know it for super comfortable loungewear and pyjamas, but their ready-to-wear collection is ever-expanding and more wearable than ever. And as an Australian, Mandy is a walking lesson in light layers and easy transeasonal dressing (even in February). Think ruched jersey skirts, linen t-shirts and open stitch sweaters....

I wore | Poloneck after poloneck to fight yet another cold snap, namely the Blake LDN Redfern sweater (below) that's been saving me from frost nip for months. It's on sale now so get there before it goes. You'll thank me I promise.

I bought | Nada. But I was given these beautiful hand-beaded Peyote bowls by Jamie. He picked them up from one of my favourite L.A stores Mohawk General Store whilst there last week. I'm one of those boring people who automatically goes for grey and white round the house so these are a bright departure for me and proving the perfect home for discarded trinkets and chains.

Don't forget to keep checking my blog store - I'm adding new pieces all the time right now as I try to keep my very small wardrobe in check.
Plus my Facebook page is where you can get first dibs on posts, sales and finds...

One of my favorite sources of inspiration is definitely Pinterest! Since I joined this lovely platform I couldn't stop browsing through the gorgeous photos and pinning them.
Lately I have been obsessed with so called "staples" and I wanted to recreate my own version.
I mixed some casual pieces from my wardrobe with sporty items from Adidas which were published last week on their twitter account as my daily "fashion" advice. :)
Comfortable and chic at the same time, hope it will inspire you!

Pre-Emptive Puchasing

Its an occupational hazard of working in fashion to be surrounded by pieces a season ahead of that which they're actually intended. We want knitwear and coats in August and frivolous slip dresses and slides in January. It's our own personal form of self-flagellation.

I picked up this trio in Urban Outfitters last week and they're now haunting my summer-starved dreams and wardrobe. I'm already anticipating them in a suitcase bound for somewhere warm and sandy, but until then, its lucky they're the sorts of things that look just as good decorating window frames.

Poly in Proenza

There are so many reasons to love this shot of Natasha Poly wearing one of my favourite dresses for S/S 2014 by Proenza Schouler.
All that silver lurex for one, a fabric I have a big soft spot for ever since a dress that used to come out every Friday night without fail at university. I like to think it fell under the category of 'so bad its good', especially when teamed with Reebok classics. Yep, you heard right. Subsequently lurex will forever be my 'party dress' go-to, that is if I were the sort of person that needed or wore party dresses on a regular basis... Regardless, Proenza's take on lurex would make me forget about my frivolous Friday night dress as fast as you can say disco ball.

And with a much-anticipated hair appointment on Saturday (finally), I'm looking forward to some fresher, vanilla tones in my hair that can currently only be described as dis-coloured straw (winter actually hates my hair), and Poly's perfect blonde is inspiring the change.

Weekend Update

As with most weekends, this one started on a high with some belated birthday celebrations revolving around pizza and rum, and became progressively more relaxed (read lazy) towards Sunday, testing out new recipes and getting hooked on Netflix in bed... (Erin Brockovitch if you were wondering).

I went | Friday's festivities began at one of my local favourites Pizza East Portobello followed by too many rum sours at The Rum Kitchen.

I drank | See above! Although I made up for my sins with plenty of green juice as pictured... That particular one is spinach, avocado and apple with mint, fresh ginger and a good squeeze of lime.

I ate | Said juices are becoming a bit of a daily staple now I have my trusty NutriBullet. Ignore the cheesy-as-hell name, it's basically a poor man's Vitamix and can whizz up everything and anything - I did the above blackberry sauce for buckwheat pancakes in there. It's super easy to clean and fuss-free, a must for a washing-up phobe like me, and I'm basically looking for excuses to use it at every opportunity - spicy kale pesto is proving one of my favourite things to chuck in there right now. I've had lots of people requesting I post recipes for some of the food I put up on Instagram so I thought I'd dip my toe in the water with the aforementioned pesto tomorrow. Recipe might be a bit too kind but hey, I said dip my toe....

I bought | The perfect little vintage-inspired top from H&M (the £9.99 price tag did it) those of you who follow me on Insta will already have seen me rave about, and a 'Cut Grass' scented candle from The White Company. Winter blues be gone.

I wore | My new Frame Denim personalized black skinny jeans. Such a great fit and they have tiny little initials stitched into the pocket. It's the little things innit.

Added new pieces to my blog store this weekend with Sandro, Urban Outfitters and Zara all in there. Follow my Facebook page for first dibs and post updates....
